Mrs. Wilma Jean (Umphrey) Brooks, age 90 of Snead, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at Diversicare of Oneonta.

She is survived by her children – Larry Brooks (Sandra), Joan LaRue, and Kathy Brooks Hutchens (Charles); grandchildren – Shane Brooks (Christy), Stacy Ayers (Jonathan), Melonie McWhorter (Jeff), Jeremy Hutchens (Jessica), Jamie Hutchens (Joyce), Keith LaRue (Kim), Amanda Wood (Daniel), Daniel LaRue (Stephanie); 17 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; siblings – Dale Umphrey (Barbara), Melvin Umphrey, Glen Umphrey (Jan), Syble LaRue, and Linda Mitchell.

Mrs. Brooks is preceded in death by her husband – Hank Brooks; parents – Poley and Eunice (Breaseale) Umphrey; and sisters – Olliva Watkins and Shirley Walker.

Minister John Gaines and Minister Tim Roland will conduct the Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Brooks will Lie In State at the church Tuesday from 1:00 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Shane Brooks, Jonathan Ayers, Jeff McWhorter, Jeremy Hutchens, Jamie Huchens, Keith LaRue, Daniel Wood, and Daniel LaRue.
