Mr. Willie Joe Broom, age 77, of Snead passed away February 2, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Broom was born August 9, 1934 to Willie Z. and Rosa (Norris) Broom and he was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his Wife, Sue Buse Broom; Daughters, Darlyne and Steve White of Cleveland, AL and Tawyna Thomas of Cleveland, AL; Son Joey and Khristie Broom of Snead, AL; Stepsons Earl Lowe of Snead, AL, Charlie and Judy Lowe of Walnut Grove, AL, Randy and Stephanie Lowe of Snead, AL, and William and Cassie Lowe of Walnut Grove, AL; Stepdaughters, Deborah and John Morton of Walnut Grove, AL, and Diane and Robert Steele of Snead, AL; 8 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; 38 Step Grandchildren, 31 Step Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Broom is predeceased by his Parents Willie Z. and Rosa (Norris) Broom; Sisters, Bea Holmes and Ruby Davis; Brother, Jack Broom; and Stepbrother, Jerry Wayne Fox.
Brother Charles Smith conducted the Funeral Service Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 11am from The Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Starkey, Billy Joe King, James Weems, Bill Ashworth, Cary Cooper, Ronnie Smith and Daryl Thomas.
