Jr.
November 10, 1953 – March 27, 2019
Mr. William "Bill" Gilmore, Jr. age 65 of the Straight Mountain Community of Oneonta, AL., passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Gilmore is retired from the United States Postal Service, is a United States Air Force Veteran, he loved his trains, old cars, and painting. He was a Member of Union Hill Church of the Nazarene of Straight Mountain.
He is survived by his wife – Ruth Gilmore of Straight Mountain; his daughter – Nora Daily Huggins of Straight Mountain; his son – William Mickle of Locust Fork, AL., his daughter – Joy Craig of Georgia; his grandchildren – Amanda Reid, Jessica Pass (Brent), Ellen Alexander (Patrick Sisson), Jacob Daily, Kelsey Farmer, Scott Mickle, Dylan Mickle, Destiny Craig, and Kaylee Craig; his great grandchildren – Parker Thompson, Leighton Thompson, Ella Ferrara, Mason Pass, Murphy Pass, Tucker Alexander, Tylan Alexander, and Kash Sisson; his sister – Nancy Smith of New Jersey, his sister – Simonne Doris (Joe) of Maryland; and his god daughter – Cindy Gilmore-Brisbin of New Jersey; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gilmore is preceded in death by his granddaughter – Chelsea Mickle and his parents – William Henry and Henriette (Oyen) Gilmore.
Brother Bob Milton and Brother Mark Wilcox will conduct the Memorial Service on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Union Hill Church of The Nazarene of Straight Mountain. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends, at the church, Monday from 1:00 PM until service time.
