William (Lee) LeRoy Criswell, born on March 21, 1943, passed away on February 16, 2026, in Snead, Alabama. He was a longtime resident of the community and dedicated his career to driving a truck for Tyson for over 30 years. His commitment to his work reflected his strong work ethic and determination.
Lee was not only known for his professional life but also for his passions outside of work. He had a great love for the outdoors, cherishing the moments spent hunting and fishing. Additionally, he took immense joy in supporting his granddaughter, Jordan Criswell, as she played softball, an activity that provided him much pleasure and pride.
Lee is survived by his son, Michael Lee Criswell (Julie); his son, Jeffery Criswell; his son, Mark Toney (Laura); his daughter, Leigh Ann Kelley (David); and his grandchildren, Mason Criswell, Jordan Criswell, and Paige Ledbetter (Dustin). He is also remembered by his siblings: sister, Gail Fountain (Ollie); sister, Rita Ledbetter (Mike); brother, David Criswell (Tonya); and brother, Phillip Criswell (Chylai). As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ellie B. Criswell; his mother, Myra Jo Mayo; his sister, Jo Anne LaRue (Jimmy).
The visitation for Lee Criswell will take place at Snead Funeral Home on February 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Bethal Baptist Church at 11:15 AM. The family appreciates the love and support from friends and community during this difficult time.
Pallbearers will be Marc Hudgins, Rick Hudgins, Nick Hudgins, Tommy Hudgins, Derrick Hudgins, and Tom Hudgins
