Mrs. Virginia Sue Hodge, age 79 of the Brooksville Crossing Community of Blountsville, AL., passed away Wednesday, February 01, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Hodge is survived by her son - Timothy Daniel Hodge of Altoona, AL.; her son and daughter-in-law - Michael and Kim Hodge of the Brooksville Community; her daughter and son-in-law - Teresa and Joe Alverson of the Brooksville Community; her granddaughter and husband - Johna and Todd Silvers; her granddaughter and husband - Nicole and Donald Francis; her granddaughter - Amber Hill; her granddaughter and husband - Brandi and Michael Lowe; her grandson - Cody Hodge; her great grandchildren - Hayden Silvers, Sadie Silvers, Mackenzie Francis, Lona Francis, and Oakley Hodge; her sister and brother-in-law - Jane and Bobby Plunkett of Arab, AL.; and her sister and brother-in-law - Shirley and Jimmy Dean of the Brooksville Community.

She is preceded in death by her husband - Thomas Daniel Hodge; her parents - Henry Garnett and Effie Smith Martin; and her brothers - Tommy Martin and John Bill Martin.

Reverend Jerry Hackney will conduct the funeral service on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Cemetery just south of Brooksville. Mrs. Hodge will lie in repose at Snead Funeral Home on Friday from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time.

Jonathan Plunkett, Jeremy Plunkett, Toby Martin, Cody Hodge, Todd Silvers, Hayden Silvers, Mike Lowe, and Donnie Francis will serve as pallbearers.
