Mr. Vernon King, age 81 of The Friday's Crossing Community, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years – Joan King of The Friday's Crossing Community, his children – Lynn King of Snead, Keith King (Kim) of Georgia, and Vicki Dorning (Stephen) of The Friday's Crossing Community; his grandchildren – Elisabethe Allen (Jonathan), Galen Dorning (Jackie), Kirkland Dorning, Benjamin Kaleb Dorning, Peyton King, Mason Brown (Anna), Jenna McCay (Heath), and Jacob King (Lauren); his great grandchildren – Kaydence McCay, Charli McCay, Tatum McCay, Cambria Brown, and Jaxon Kelley; his sisters – Willie Woods and Mary Elizabeth Robinson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mr. King is preceded in death by his parents – Joe and Sudie Catherine (Pannell) King; and his siblings – Louise Reno, Samuel "Bud" King, James King, Betty Jo Fennel, and Francis Henderson.

Brother Mark Jones will conduct the Funeral Service on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Wynnville Cemetery.  Mr. King will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Friday from 11:00 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Jonathan Allen, Galen Dorning, Kirkland Dorning, Benjamin Dorning, Jacob King, Mason Brown, Peyton King, and Heath McCay.
