Mr. Vernon Lee Dunn, age 86 of Snead, AL., passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Dunn is a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his children - Louise McDowell of Altoona, AL., Patricia Dobbs of Boaz, AL., Rebecca and Jimmy Wilemon of Altoona, AL., and Dewayne and Rhonda Dunn of Albertville, AL.. He is also survived by his grandchildren - Stephanie Motley, Suzann and Randy McCoy, Stephen and Marie Stone, Carmen and Johnny Kelley, Avery and Coley Dobbs, Tabitha and Jamie Cannon, Brandon and Amanda Wilemon, Bailey Madaris, Anna Madaris, and Shay Dunn; his great grandson and caregiver - Sean Stone, 24 great grandchildren; and brother - Arly and Wanda Dunn.

Mr. Dunn is preceded in death by his first wife - Dorothy Dunn; second wife - Geneva Dunn; granddaughter - Connie Stone; parents - Elvin and Della (Mayo) Dunn; siblings - Norman Dunn, Junior Dunn, Byron Dunn, Gy Dean Dunn, Thelma Coffield, and Cherry Cook.

Ennis Stone, Gary Smith, Larry Smith, and James Earl Pate will conduct the funeral service Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 2:00pm at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in the Egypt Community. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Dunn will lie in repoase at Snead Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:30pm - 8:00pm and Thursday from 9:00am until 11:30am then at the church from 1:00pm until funeral time.

Huel Walker, Stephen Stone, Randy McCoy, Avery Dobbs, Brandon Wilemon, Bailey Madaris, and Jamie Cannon will serve as pallbears.
