Mrs. Vernell Reba Joyce (Elrod) Thompson, age 83 of Susan Moore, AL., passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at her residence.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law - Phillip and Melanie Thompson of Horton, AL., her grandson - Chris and Amie Thompson of Horton, AL., her grandson - Dillon and Christine Stone of Horton, AL., and her grandson - Seth Thompson of Horton, AL.

Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her husband- Ondell Thompson and her parents - Carl and Augusta  (Criswell) Elrod, and her brother - Royce Elrod.

Brother Glenn Elrod will conduct the funeral service on Monday, May 28, 2018 from The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Mrs. Thompson will lie-in-repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 12 (noon) until service time.

Pallbearers will be - Chris Thompson, Dillon Stone, Seth Thompson, Mile Elrod, Greg Elrod, and Ralph Lowery.
