Tommy Owens

Tommy Hugh Owens, age 90, of Gulf Shores, AL passed away on April 23, 2026, at Robertsdale Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Robertsdale, AL, after a long battle with several health issues.

Tommy was born on August 17, 1935, to Harvey L. and Lora Owens in Cleburne County, AL.

Tommy’s career was as a salesman in the food brokerage business. His favorite interests were Alabama football and watching Fox News.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Barbara McLendon Owens; parents, Harvey L. and Lora Owens, brothers, Harold Owens, Lloyd Owens, AJ Owens, Jerry Owens; sisters, Julia Newell, Alberta Newell, Polly Todd.

He is survived by:

Son, Marc Owens (Amy)

Grandsons, Luke Owens (Destiny) and Jake Owens

Great Granddaughter, Kamryn Owens

as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside only service for the immediate family on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist cemetery in Snead, AL. Pastor Chris Johnson will officiate.
