Reverend Thurman D. Dennis, 89 of Holly Pond, Alabama, formerly of Douglas, Alabama, was born on January 6, 1936, to James William and Elizie Mae (Reason) Dennis and passed away on June 30, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Ann Whitfield, Jean Kelley, Bob Dennis, Edward Dennis, and Polly Pidcock.

Reverend Dennis is survived by his lovely wife of 67 years, Marjorie Peppers Dennis; his son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Susan Dennis; his daughter and son-in-law, Belynn and Jack East; his son and daughter-in-law, Wendell D. and Karen Dennis, his son and daughter-in-law, Cale and Suzie Dennis; his grandchildren and their spouse, Mark and Randa Dennis, Ryan and Bree Dennis, Mitchell East, Morgane and Daniel Luke, Courtney and Kyle Foshee, Hunter and Mikaela Dennis, Skyler and Alexis Dennis, Mason and Allison Dennis; his great grandchildren, Sterling, Lilah, Konnor, Beniah, Ruth, Clara, Evelyn, Arden; and one great-great grandson on the way.

Cale Dennis, Glenn Stewart, and Mark Dennis will conduct the Funeral Service on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at High Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am until funeral time.

Mark Dennis, Hunter Dennis, Ryan Dennis, Skyler Dennis, Dawson Alldredge, and Mitchell East have been asked to serve as Pallbearers.
