Teresa Diane Reeves Underwood, age 63, of Snead, Alabama, passed away in the late hours of Thursday, June 20, 2024. Teresa was born on November 7, 1960, at the old Blount Memorial Hospital to Dallas Reeves and Linda Singleton Reeves. She was the middle child and the sister of Rickey and Darel Reeves, growing up in Hendrix, Alabama.

After graduating from Susan Moore High School in 1979, she began corresponding with one of her brother Rickey's army mates, Michael Underwood. Michael and she were married on August 24, 1979, at the home of her maternal grandparents Arvil and Pauline Singleton, with her grandfather Arvil conducting the ceremony. They were married for 27 years until Michael's death in 2007. They had 2 children, Tish and Corey.

After first being an army wife and homemaker, Teresa then spent most of her adult life working in poultry plants, first at Tyson in Blountsville and later at Pilgrim's Pride in Guntersville. At the time of her cancer diagnosis, she was employed at Blount Linen in Oneonta.

Teresa is survived by her daughter, Tish Bryant (Brandon); son, Corey Underwood (Lori); five grandchildren: Emily, Allison, and Natalie Bryant, and Cash and Linkin Underwood; brothers, Rickey Reeves (Bonnie) and Darel Reeves (Beverly); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family members preceding her in death include her husband, Michael Underwood; father, Dallas Reeves; mother, Linda Singleton Reeves Snell; step-father, Don Snell; father-in-law, Carl Underwood; and mother-in-law, Faye Underwood.

Visitation will be held at Snead Funeral Home beginning at 1:30 P.M. with Funeral Service to follow at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Brother Michael Yopp will officiate. After the service, Teresa will be laid to rest at Daily's Chapel Cemetery in Rosa, escorted by her pallbearers: Eric Reeves, Christopher Reeves, Zac Reeves, Zac Smith, Zach Box, and Nic Myers.
