Tammy Price, born on November 4, 1960, peacefully passed away on April 7, 2026, at UAB Hospital. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to know her.

Throughout her life, Tammy was a beacon of warmth and joy, touching many with her vibrant spirit and gentle kindness. She cherished countless moments dedicated to her beloved hobbies that spoke to her creative soul and compassionate nature. Tammy loved crafting, finding beauty and meaning in each handmade creation. The lake held a special place in her heart, where she would find peace and happiness surrounded by nature’s tranquility. Her garden was a reflection of her nurturing spirit—each plant lovingly tended with care and dedication. Among her most treasured joys were the times spent with her grandkids, whose laughter and presence brought endless delight and pride to her days. True to her lively personality, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of sharing stories and gossip, weaving connections that brought smiles and closeness within her community.

Tammy is survived by her devoted sons, Chad Price and his wife, Jade; and Justin Price and his wife, Crystal. Her legacy is lovingly carried forward by her grandchildren: Gabriel Price, Gracelyn Price, Laura Price, and Levi Price, each a precious tribute to her enduring love. Tammy’s cherished family circle extends to her sister, Stacey Dudley; her nephew, Corey Jones; nieces, Kala Matthews and Brandi Brown; and nephews, Zack Matthews and Wesley Cooper. Alongside them are a host of great nieces and nephews, all of whom carried her spirited warmth and affection in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Willard Matthews; her mother, Patsy Ann Walker (Calvin); and her brother, Keith Matthews. Their memories remain forever intertwined with hers, shining as guiding lights through the passages of time.

Tammy’s life was one filled with love, laughter, and the simple joys that enrich the human experience. Her passing marks the close of a beautiful chapter but also the continuation of her loving influence through the family and friends she cherished.
