Mr. Steve "Buck " Thomas, age 85 of Altoona, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Trinity Medical Center.

Mr. Thomas is going home to meet his son; Randy Thomas, his parents;
Emory C. and Exie Alldredge Thomas, and a host of siblings.

"Buck" was a hard worker that grew vegetables in his home garden for people in the community. He was willing to help anyone in the community whenever needed.

Mr. Thomas was a member of
Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife; Marlene Thomas, children; Wesolene Thomas of Snead and Steven Thomas of Snead, grandchildren; Adam and Shelly Thomas and Laura Freeman, great-grandchildren; Hudson Thomas, Brooke Freeman, Emily Freeman and Jabe Otts, sisters; Lucille Price of Blountsville and Ruth Foust of Blountsville, and brother; Ray Thomas of Blountsville.

Brother Bric Latham and Brother Larry Holley will conduct the funeral service Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 2 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Royal. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 12 (noon) until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Roy Watkins, Charles Price, Jerry Thomas, Gene Thomas, Mike Parcus, Josh Parcus, and Joel Parcus.
