Mrs. Shirley Joanne McCray, age 66 of The Highmound Community of Snead, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Huntsville Hospital.

Mrs. McCray was born July 25, 1946 to the late A.O. "Doc" and Mary Pearl (Hobbs) Burdette. She was the Co-Owner of Susan Moore BP and Secretary of McCray's Construction Company. She loved the Susan Moore Bulldogs.

She is survived by her husband; Bruce McCray, daughters; Kendee and Jason Chastain of Oneonta, Kem and Greg Hamrick of Royal, and Kelly and Eric Walker of Susan Moore, grandchildren; Jordon Price, Savannah Price, Bailee Price, Emily Chastain, Ashley Chastain, Kayla Hamrick, Amber Hamrick, Garrett Hamrick, Zac Hamrick, Ethan Walker, Charley Walker, and Elliott Walker, great-grandchild; Jackson Hamrick, brothers; Terry and Gail Burdette of Birmingham, Ronnie and Nikki Burdette of Anniston, sister; Janice and Allyn Harth of Pennsylvania.

Brother Paul Jones and Brother Randy Burtram will conduct the funeral service Monday, December 10, 2012 at 2 P.M. at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Mrs. McCray will Lie-In-State, at Snead Funeral Home, Sunday from 5:30 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Monday from 8:30 A.M until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Curt Smith, Garrett Hamrick,Zach Hamrick, Dee Brown, Joey Bailey, Jerry McCray
and Ronnie Burdette.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ethan Walker, Terry Burdette, and Wilburn McCray.
