Mrs. Shirley Lambert Ferguson, age 85 of The Brooksville Community, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Ferguson was born in a feather bed on property she was currently living on in the Brooksville Community to the late Floyd and Rilla Lambert on December 30, 1937. Over the years she held numerous jobs that included; Birmingham Policewoman, Security Guard, Private Detective, Bank Teller, Birmingham Postal Worker, and the owner of beauty salons. She was a Member of Blountsville Baptist Church, The Eastern Star, NRA, as well as a supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The Shriner's Hospitals, The Susan G Koman Cancer Foundation, and The American Cancer Society. But her most important role in life was wife & mother, and she loved traveling with them in their motor homes. She was an avid fisher, hunter, marksman, seamstress, and tailor.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her husband – John Edwin Ferguson; daughter – Holly Kay Ferguson; brother – L.E. Lambert; and sister – Janice Epp.

In keeping with Mrs. Furguson's wishes, the family has elected cremation. There will be a private Memorial Service scheduled at a later date.
