Mrs. Ruth Garren of Snead passed way Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her residence.  She was 88 years old.

Ruth is survived by her children:

Kay and Scott Porier and Becky Garren of Snead

Grandson: Stephen Porier

Brother: Herb Yates of Birmingham and Sisters: Edith Pritchett of Montgomery, Jan Roland of Huntsville, and Shelby Lowe of Steele.

Host of Nieces and Nephews

Mrs. Garren is predeceased by her

Husband: Judge John D. Garren

Daughters: Patricia Ann Garren and Judy Diane Garren

Parents: Tillman adn Florence Robinson Yates

Siblings: Ted Yates, Loyal Yates, Tommie Battles, Ola Payne, and Inez Powell.

Steve Bush and Mike Allums will conduct the funeral service on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 @ 2:00pm at The Chapel of Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Gallant Cemetery.  Mrs. Garren will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 8:30am until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be: Stephen Porier, Scott Porier, Michael Yates, Danny Morton, Joey Bailey, Tony Holland, Rick Smith, and Eric Brown.
