Mr. Rodney E. Maltbie, age 62 of Attalla, AL., passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Maltbie is survived by his wife - Sheila Maltbie of Attalla; his son and daughter-in-law - Patrick and Cristie Maltbie of Snead; his grandchildren - Destiny Maltbie of Snead, Bailey Maltbie of Snead, and Tyler Maltbie of Snead; his sister and brother-in-law - Sheila and Jim Marbut of Snead; his sister and brother-in-law - Janice and Gene Stephens of Attalla; his sister and brother-in-law - Teresa and George Jacks of Florida; and his brother and sister-in-law - Buford and Gwen Maltbie of Oneonta.

He is preceded in death by his father - J.L. Maltbie; his mother - Thelma Gilliland Maltbie; and his sister - Kathy Yarbrough

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 10:00am at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakhill Cemetery. Mr. Maltbie will lie in repose at Snead Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday from 8:00am until funeral time.

Junior Wadkins, Dean Weems, Morgan Smith, George Lynn, Mike Mosley, and Luke Owens will service as pallbearers.
