Mr. Ricky Doyle Townsend, age 68 of Arab, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife – Clarice Townsend; children – Teresa Wisner, Eric Townsend, Michael Maddox (Ranea), and Jennifer Navarro; grandchildren – Heffrey Brown, LaShay Hulgan, Michael Maddox, Jr. (Reana), Jasmine Baldwin (Justin), and Nicole Maze; 14 great grandchildren; siblings – Debbie Wynn (Johnny), Linda Ledbetter, Donna Spinder, and Judy Braswell; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Townsend is preceded in death by his granddaughter – Desirae Maddox; parents – James and Mamie (Bates) Townsend; sister – Barbara Seales; and parents-in-law – Thelma Bryan and Alton Vanzandt.

Brother Kevin Price will conduct the Funeral Service on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Lebanon Cemetery in Blountsville. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, Saturday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Scott Lang, Toney Jones, Steven Freeman, Randall Sivley, and Eric Snipes.
