Rhonda Kay Towns

Rhonda Kay Towns, born on September 13, 1958, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. She was a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, and someone who found simple joy in watching soap operas, a pastime that brought her much comfort and companionship throughout her life.

Rhonda’s life was marked by the love she shared with her family and those who were fortunate to know her. She is survived by her devoted son, Shawn Towns (Haley); her beloved grandchildren Tyler Jace Towns, Urban Morgan, Aurora Morgan, and Kimber Morgan. Her warm spirit and kind heart extended further to her siblings: her brother Tim Wester (Missy); Jim Wester (Lisa); Ken Wester; and her sister Cheryl Phillips (Terry). These relationships were treasured by Rhonda and formed the bedrock of her world.

The legacy of love was also reflected in the lives of friends and pallbearers who will honor her memory during her final journey—Kyle Bennett, Lynn Bowling, Keith Bowling, Harold Collins, Jeff Bowling, and Pete Willingham. Their presence stands as a testament to the many lives Rhonda touched with her gentle kindness.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Towns, whose partnership shaped much of her life’s journey. Also gone before her were her father, Frank Murray, and her mother, Evelyn Woodard Murray, who no doubt watch over her now with pride.

A heartfelt visitation will be held at the Snead Funeral Home, on March 20, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., after which the burial will take place on the same day at Wynnville Cemetery 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Rhonda Kay Towns’ memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life filled with love, dedication, and the warmth she generously gave to all around her. Her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, a gentle reminder of the beauty found in love and family. May she rest in eternal peace.
