Mr. George Rex Ridgeway, age 89 of Snead, AL., passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Medical Center East.

He is survived by his daughter – Donna Payne (Greg) of Snead, AL.; his granddaughters – Amy Burgess (Jamie) of Snead, AL., Amber Gregory (Shawn) of Snead, AL.; great grandchildren – Abby Burgess, Cooper Burgess, Will Burgess, Grayson Gregory, and Pearson Payne; his sister – June Ogles of Snead, AL.; and his brother – Lelton Ridgeway (Polly) of Snead, AL.

Mr. Ridgeway is preceded in death by his wife – Betty Webb Ridgeway; his wife – Jean Black Ridgeway; his son – Danny Ridgeway; his parents – Bedford and Bernice (Greer) Ridgeway; his step-mother - Bertie Ridgeway; and his brothers – Terry Ridgeway and Eugene Ridgeway.

Brother Joey Kirby, Brother Don Garrison, and Brother Mark Gidley will conduct the Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Church of God, with Snead Funeral Home Directing.  Mr. Ridgeway will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Monday from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday, at the church, from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be – Terry Decker, Austin Decker, John Cofield, Bobby Garrison, Lee Long, and Paul Odom.

Honorary Pallbearers will be – Roger Campbell, Tom Harvey, Mickey Decker, Greg Ogles, Billy King, Jerrell Wayne King, and Wendell King.
