Mrs. Rebecca June (Cleveland) Van Sandt, age 92 of Boaz, AL., passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at St. Vincent Blount Hospital.

Mrs. Van Sandt is survived by her daughter and son-in-law - Sandra Jean and Bobby Lusk, Sr. of Boaz, AL.; her daughter and son-in-law - Teresa June and James Dean Pierce of Sherman, TX.; her son and daughter-in-law - Jack K. Jr. and Janet Van Sandt of Winfield, AL.; her grandchildren - Bobby Bruce, Jr. and Nita Lusk, Amy Allison Pierce, Amanda Victoria and Aaron Stange, Judy Kay and Ben Nobles, Brandon Scott and Sarah Pierce, Abbie Elaine Lusk and Scott Wallace, and Mary Ann Van Sandt; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her sister - Jean Croft of Gainesville, FL.; her brother and sister-in-law - Charles and Helen Cleveland Horton, AL.; and her sisters-in-law - Barbara Cleveland of Florida, Judy Cleveland of Georgia, and Janice Cleveland of Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her husband - Jack Van Sandt; her son - Fred Jay Denson; her granddaughter - Anna Marie Roberts; her sister - Merideth Odom; her sister - Lorrine Bohannon; and her brothers - Guy Cleveland, Earl Cleveland, Lloyd Cleveland, and Jimmy Cleveland.

Brother David Poole will conduct a funeral service at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Van Sandt will lie repose at Snead Funeral Home Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, at the church, from 1:00 p.m. until funeral time.

Philip Cleveland, Travis Cleveland, Brandon Pierce, James Pierce, Jacob Stange, and Ricky Cleveland will serve as pallbearers with Scott Wallace and Tucker Wallace serving as honorary pallbearers.
