Ms. Phyllis Joan Cowart passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital. She was 63 years old.

Joan is survived by her Children: Scott Williams of Guntersville, Joanne Benjamin (Austin) of New York, and Teresa Williams of Guntersville.

Grandchildren: Felecia Williams (Michael), Kelsie Fortenberry, Brian Williams, and Blake Williams.

Great-Grandchildren: Dylan Williams and Brayden Williams.

Siblings: Sue Hogeland, Donna Hilburn, Lisa Burks (Jerry), Kenneth Cowart, Jeff Cowart, Rhonda Harris (Jerry), and Liz Dorning.

Ms. Cowart is preceded in death by her Husband: Johnny "Jabo" Williams
Parents: Cantrell and Abigail Goble Cowart; and
Siblings: Benny Cantrell Cowart, Ricky Coleman Cowart, John David Cowart, Tresse Deborah Cowart, Gloria Cowart, and Gail Wilson.

Brother Jeremy Thompson will conduct the funeral service on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 2:00pm at The Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wynnville Cemetery. Ms. Cowart will Lie In State at Snead Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:00pm (Noon) until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be: John Henson, Waylon Wilson, Jerry Harris, Jeff Stricklin, John Hogeland, and Jerry Dale Hogeland.

Honorary Pallbearer will be: James Cowart.
