Mr. Phillip Don Latham, age 68 of the Gibbs Chapel Community, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at St. Vincent East Hospital.

Phillip was a member and trustee of Gibb's Chapel United Methodist Church, member of the Clarence Lodge #708, a Mason for 38 years, and was awarded 1st place in the state and national carpentry competition.

Mr. Latham is survived by his sister and brother-in-law - Beverly and Horace Mize of Horton; his brother and sister-in-law - Terry and Ann Latham of Horton; his niece - Kimberly Latham of Horton; and his nephew - Kevin Latham of Horton.

He is preceded in death by his father - Klines Latham and his mother - Bess Franklin Latham.

Rev. Larry Walker and Jeff Self will conduct a graveside service on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:30am at Gibbs Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Latham will lie in repose at Snead Funeral Home Saturday from 9:00am until 11:00am. Jerry Jackson will lead the Mason's with the Masonic Funeral Rites.

Carthal Self, Jeff Self, Mack Elrod, Kevin Latham, Verbon Mize, and Jerry Pullen will serve as pallbearers.
