Ellen 'Pennie' Hillis, age 74 of The Summit Community of Blountsville, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Harry Hillis; grandson – Logan Smith; and granddaughter – Addalyn Renea Smith.

Mrs. Hillis is preceded in death by her daughter – Pennie Renea Smith; parents – Stacy and Estelle (Jones) Malone; and 9 siblings.

Brother Joe Garrett will conduct the Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Summit Cemetery.  Mrs. Hillis will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Wednesday from 12:00 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be her friends and family.
