Pearl Brown, 96, of Snead, passed away at her home on February 9, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, J. P. Brown, her parents Oscar Newton and Nona Rosella Casey, and 11 of her siblings.

Pearl was a 1946 graduate of Susan Moore High School. She was an avid reader and worked in the textile industry for decades. She worked for over 22 years (until age 92) at Al& Mick's BBQ Restaurant in Snead.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Naugher and son-in-law Ronnie Naugher; niece, Pamela Casey (Robert) and "those babies" Glen and Claire Austin; grandson, Matthew Naugher; great-grandchildren Savannah Naugher, Brianna Thompson, and Joseph Lambert, and her nephew, Harold Brown and numerous other nieces, nephews,and grandnieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Burial will follow Ebenezer Cemetery in Snead, Alabama, with Danny Walker, Robert Austin, Jr., Jimbo Kent, Joel Moore, Harold Brown, Charlie Pruett, Timmy Fountain, and Allen Tilley serving as pallbearers.
