Mrs. Ozyleah Cox Halbrooks, age 79, passed away January 4, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Halbrooks was born December 17, 1932 to Lendon Roy and Edna (Thigpin) Cox. She was a member of High Mound Missionary Baptist Church and wife of Rev Troy Halbrooks for 59 years.
She is survived by her Husband, Reverend Troy Halbrooks of Blountsville; Daughters, Renee and Gene Garner of Brooksville and Rhonda and David Bryant of Oneonta; Grandchildren, Jason and Jeri Garner of South Carolina, Scot Garner of Brooksville, Ondrea Bryant of Oneonta, and Paul Bryant of Oneonta; Great Grandchild; Regan Bryant of Pell City; Sister, Jo and Billy Mooney of Decatur.
Mrs. Halbrooks was predeceased by Grandchildren, Jared Garner and Brad Bailey; Parents, Lendon Roy and Edna (Thigpin) Cox; Brothers, M.L. Cox and Roy Cox.
Brother Paul Kelley and Brother Larry Camp conducted the Funeral Service Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10am at High Mound Missionary Baptist Church with Snead Funeral Home Directing.
Interment followed at High Mound Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Garner, Scot Garner, Paul Bryant, Brian Mooney, John Michael Jennings, John Michael Peppers.
