Ophelia Plemons Brooks, 89, of Huntsville died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at South Hampton Nursing Home.
She was born on April 19, 1922, the daughter of Lonnie Plemons and Ethel (Compton) Plemons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Ethel (Compton) Plemons; husband, Elmer K. Brooks; and son-in-law, James Jackson.
Surviving family are sons, Jimmy K. Brooks of Harvest, AL and Jacky L. Brooks of High Springs, FL; daughter Cheryl Brooks Jackson of Gonzales, LA; Grandson, Eric Brooks of Huntsville, AL; Granddaughters, Dawn Brooks Bragg of Huntsville, AL, Pamela Brooks Simmons of High Springs, FL, Kimberly Jackson Hendrix of Gonzales, LA and Amy Jackson LeBlanc of Gonzales, LA; 4 Great Grandsons; 5 Great Granddaughters; and 2 Great Great Granddaughters.
She was a life long member of Antioch Church of Christ in Snead, AL and attended Farley Church of Christ in Huntsville, AL.
We would like to thank South Hampton Nursing Home for their outstanding care, Imogene Pruitt of Snead, AL for being a wonderful friend to "Felia", Mildred Lang (deceased) for being her great friend at South Hampton and Hospice of Huntsville for their care.

Brother Tommy Rosenblum conducted the Funeral Service on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2 P.M. from the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home, interment followed in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends and family for Mrs. Brooks.
