Mr. Olga Henry Brooks, better known as Hank, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his residence in Snead. He was 82 years old.

Olga "Hank" Brooks was a faithful lifetime member of Antioch Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years as well as a Sunday school teacher. He was an avid student of the Bible, James was his favorite book, and worked diligently day after day to serve his God. His fore most goal in life was for him and his family to gain that eternal home in Heaven.

He was married 65 years to Wilma Umphrey Brooks their life was truly a love story. They worked for 33 years together at the Arrow Shirt Plant in Albertville where he was a sewing machine mechanic. He also served many years as President of the Union while at Arrow.

After retirement he and Wilma loved to play golf and enjoy life together. His love for life was contagious and his love for God, his wife, and his family was never-ending.

Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 65 years Wilma Umphrey Brooks of Snead, his son Larry and Sandie Brooks of Snead, his daughters Joan LaRue of Snead and Kathy and Charles Hutchens of Snead. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shane and Christy Brooks, Stacy and Jonathan Ayers, Melonie Brooks Ray, Jeremy and Jessica Hutchens, Jamie and Joyce Hutchens, Keith and Kim LaRue, Amanda and Daniel Wood, and Daniel and Stephanie LaRue. 16 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild and 1 Great-Great Grandchild on the way, brother Hubert and Mildred Brooks of Snead, sisters Doris and Jim Miller of Mississippi, Gladys Brown of Gadsden, and Louise Marshall of Florida.

Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his parents Earnie and Willie Mae Wagnon Brooks and his brothers Elmer Brooks, Joe Brooks, and Lebert "Peanut" Brooks.

Elder Ricky Kimbel will conduct the 2pm funeral service on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Antioch Church of Christ with interment in Antioch Cemetery. Mr. Brooks will lie in state at Snead funeral Home on Sunday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Monday from 8:30am until 12:30pm

Pallbearers will be Shane Brooks, Jeremy Hutchens, Jamie Hutchens, Keith LaRue, Daniel LaRue, Daniel Wood, and Jonathan Ayers.

Great Grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
