Mr. Norman Wayne Ellison, age 69 of Altoona, passed away Sunday, January, 28, 2024 at Diversicare in Oneonta.

Wayne had the kind of spirit that was gentle and quiet and only comes around once in a lifetime. He was a 1972 graduate of West End High School, a loving Brother, Uncle, Son, and Spouse. Wayne worked diligently at his job and at home serving everywhere around him.

He is survived by his siblings – Hazel Owens, Bill Ellison (Linda), Linda McClung, Larry Ellison, Johnny Ellison (Stacy), and Michael Ellison; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mr. Ellison is preceded in death by his wife – Carolyn Dempsey Ellison; parents – Clifford and Glodis (Carroll) Ellison; and brothers – Charles Ellison and Bobby Ellison.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 1:00 PM at The Graveside at Altoona / Walnut Grove Cemetery with Drew Smith Officiating. There will be no visitation.

Pallbearers will be – Bill Ellison, Johnny Ellison, Michael Ellison, Mark McClung, Jeff Hillburn, and Drew Smith.
