Ms. Nell Tipton passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at her residence near Snead, AL.

Ms. Tipton was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter: Brenda Hawkins of Horton, AL.; her granddaughter: Jana Brown Farley (Marshall) of Mobile, AL.; her great grandchild: Chloe Elizabeth Farley of Mobile, AL.; and her siblings: Margie Jones of Oneonta, AL., Faye Hinds of Auburn, AL., J.F. NeSmith of Summit, AL., and Fran Biggs of North Carolina.

Nell is predeceased in death by her husband: J.W. Tipton; her children: Sandra Gail Tipton and Sharon Nell Tipton; her grandchild John Stephen Brown; her parents: Oscar L. & Jenny (Mann) NeSmith; and her siblings: Viola Nelson, Hazel Daniel, and L.D. NeSmith.

Bric Latham will conduct the 1pm funeral service on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Arab Memorial Cemetery. Ms. Tipton will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Monday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday from 8:00am until funeral time.

Bobby Ray Smith, Greg Biggs, Marshall Farley, Kenneth NeSmith, Ray Presley, and Rob Stockwell will serve as pallbearers.
