Mr. Nathanael E. Helms, age 85 of Altoona, AL, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta, AL.

He is survived by his wife – Charlotte Helms of Altoona, AL., his son – Randy L. Helms (Kathryn) of Snead, AL., his son – Ronnie J. Helms of Jasper, AL., his daughter – Shelia McGuire (Charlie) of Birmingham, AL. his step-son – Jimmy Stewart (Mitsy) of Northport, AL., his grandchildren – J.R. Peek, Racheal Saucier (Matt), Derick Helms, Ramah Helms, and Tyler Helms, step-grandchildren – Lydia Stewart and Carrigan Stewart, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife – Glenda Helms, his son – Timmy Helms, his parents – Elbert and Annie (Gibbs) Helms, his siblings – Delmar Helms, Ester Ruth Helms, and Joe Helms.

Funeral Service will be Monday, February 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Nixon Chapel Cemetery.  Mr. Helms will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Sunday from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday from 12 (noon) until service time.
