Ms. Moody Estell Hathorn, 97, of Susan Moore, Alabama, was born August 29, 1928, to Thomas David and Ludie Scruggs Hathorn and passed away on January 9, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Ruby Painter, Dennis Hathorn, Donald Hathorn, Jennie Rutherford, Jessie Stephens, Buddy Hathorn, and Virgil Hathorn.

Ms. Hathorn is survived by her niece, Deborah Young; her niece, Regina Talton (Danny), her nephew, Charles Hathorn; her nephew, Ray Hathorn (Leslie); and host of great nieces and great nephews.

Elder Ricky Harcrow and Elder Sam Etheridge will conduct the funeral service on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 11:00am at the Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, on Sunday beginning at 10:00am.

Jason Young, Bruce Hathorn, Lance Hathorn, Ray Hathorn, Jerry Lambert, and Steve Presley have been asked to serve as Pallbearers.
