Mr. M.L. Shelton, 89 of Horton, Alabama was born on May 5, 1936, to Jessie and Lorine (Moon) Shelton and passed away on September 17, 2025, in Boaz Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Julia Gibbs Shelton; his parents; his siblings, Jessie (Lorine) Shelton, Doris Hammack, Barbara Flack, James Shelton, and Junior Shelton.

Mr. Shelton is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Glenn Hunter, his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Campbell; his daughter, Lori Fleming, and his daughter, Rhonda Reeves; his grandchildren, Misty Howell and her husband, Keith, Matthew Fleming, Jimmy Campbell and his wife, Vanessa; his great-grand children, Haleigh, Hannah, and Jacob Howell; adopted son-in-law, Melvin Foss; and his siblings, Keith Shelton and his wife Ann, Larry Shelton and his wife Charlie Ann, and Joan Foster and her husband Jim.

Brother Mark Jones will conduct the funeral service on Saturday, September, 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Horton, Alabama. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until funeral time.
