Misty Dawn Mayes

Misty Dawn Mayes, born on August 4, 1979, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2026, at Cullman Regional. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Misty was a radiant soul whose life was richly woven with love and warmth. She found joy in many simple pleasures—the glow of faith, the comfort of family, the energizing buzz of a good cup of coffee, the community found in church, and the delight of shopping sprees shared with loved ones. Above all, Misty’s deep love for Jesus guided her through life’s trials and triumphs, inspiring those around her.

She is lovingly remembered by her cherished children: her daughter Morgan Hogeland and son-in-law Gary; her daughter Kinsley Quick; and her son Christopher Quick. Her loving mother, Reba Jo Summers, and her brother, Jason Mayes, also survive her, holding onto the precious memories they shared.

Misty was preceded in death by her father, Scott Mayes, whose legacy she carried forward with grace and devotion.

Through every chapter of her life, Misty’s spirit shone brightly—a beacon of kindness, faith, and unwavering love. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory close, treasuring the warmth of her presence and the beauty of her soul.

Though she is no longer with us, the love Misty Dawn Mayes gave so freely remains, continuing to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her journey has ended, but the echoes of her laughter, her faith, and her love will resonate in the hearts she touched forever.
