Ms. Mildred Compton, age 74 of Snead, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center South in Boaz.

She is survived by her daughters – Sherri Ann Compton of Snead, and Angela Compton Kornegay (Scott) of The Mt. Carmel Community; her son – Joseph Wayne Compton (Patty) of Snead; her special son – Chad Casey of Altoona; her grandsons – Joseph Timothy 'J.T.' Compton and Parker Jaxon Compton; her brother – Raymond Bowman (Frances) of Oneonta, her sisters – Faye B. Ottinger of Boaz, and Violet Sisson of Albertville; her brother and sister-in-law – Wayne and Hazel Williams of Oneonta; as well as a host of Nieces, Nephews, extended family and friends.

Ms. Compton is preceded in death by her daughter – Kimberly Denise Compton; her granddaughter – Haleigh Breann Culwell; her parents – Lester Leroy and Mary Emily (Jackson) Bowman; her brothers – Ernest Bowman, Frank Bowman, and Leroy Bowman; and her sister – Jane Chappell.

Brother Raymond Bowman will conduct the Funeral Service on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Wynnville Cemetery.  Ms. Compton will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Friday from 11:00 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Joel Bowman, Steven Battles, Billy Parmely, Chad Casey, and Scott Kornegay.

Honorary Pallbearer will be – Billy Barnes.
