Obituary
Mrs. Mildred "Mickie" Ashworth, age 92 of Snead, AL., passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at her residence.
Mickie is survived by her children - Naomi Ashworth of Huntsville, AL. and Billy Ashworth of Susan Moore, AL.; stepson - Billy Joe Ashworth of Boaz, AL.; granddaughter - Amy Wolfe of Tracy City, TN.; several step-grandchildren; and her goddaughter - Peggy Moran.
She is preceded in death by her husband - Berval Ashworth; grandchildren - Lesley Anne Ashworth and Colton Bicknell; parents - Herbert and Lydia (Gunnels) Cooper; and her siblings - Herbert Cooper, Jr. and Irene Ingram.
Larry Holly, Curtis Hawkins, and Bric Latham will conduct the funeral service Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 1:00pm at Grace Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Douglas Cemetery. Mrs. Ashworth will lie in repose at Grace Baptist Church Tuesday from 5:30pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday from 9:00am until funeral time.
Patrick Jandebeur, Mike Carroll, Jimmy Carroll, Charles Ingram, Gary Cooper, George White, Tony Sicola, and Dennis Lindsay will serve as pallbearers.
