Mr. Michael Vernon Walker, age 61 of Snead, AL., passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at St. Vincent East Hospital.

Michael was a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

Mr. Walker is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Pamela and Billy Hill of Snead, AL.; his grandchildren: Andrea Hill and Andrew Hill both of Snead, AL.; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Anita and Jimmy Wood of Snead, AL., and Eleanor and Eugene Longshore of Oneonta, AL.; his stepmother: Maxine Walker of Altoona, AL.; his stepsister: Harriette Brown of Altoona, AL.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife: Gwendolyn Walker; and his parents: Vernon XL and Mandy Juanita (Underwood) Walker.

Brother John Gaines will conduct the 2:00pm funeral service at Antioch Church of Christ, near Snead, AL., on Saturday, August 8, 2015. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Mr. Walker will lie in state at Price-Snead Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00am until 1:00pm.

Brian Gilliland, Jimmy Phillips, Colby Gladden, Blake Gladden, Jared Marcum, and Luke Walker will serve as pallbearers.
