Michael Glenn Brogdon, born March 6, 1961, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026.

Michael will be remembered as a man of deep faith, steady love, and simple joys.

Michael will be remembered as a man of deep faith, steady love, and simple joys. He loved his church and the Lord and faithfully served as Associate Pastor of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. His faith was a guiding presence throughout his life, and he found comfort and strength in reading his Bible. Michael enjoyed many of the things that brought him happiness, including fishing, watching drag racing, and cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Above all, though, he treasured time spent with his grandbabies, whom he loved dearly.

He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory with love and gratitude. He is survived by his wife, Betty Brogdon; his son, Mitchell Brogdon (Kim); and his daughter, Sarah Melvin (Zach). Michael’s love also lives on in his grandchildren, Zack West, Alyssa Melvin, Christian Melvin, Caroline Melvin, Cameron Melvin, Carson Melvin, Hannah Brogdon, and Autumn Clemons, and in his great-granddaughter, Addilyn Clemons. Each of them was a cherished part of the family that meant so much to him.

He also leaves his mother, Betty Watkins Brown (Charles); his brothers, Boyd Brown (Ina), John John Brown, and Dennis Brogdon; and his sisters, Carolyn Wilemon (Stanley) and Susan Campbell (David).

He was preceded in death by his father, James Brogdon, and his brothers, J.L. Brodgon and Larry Brogdon.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Snead Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at Antioch Cemetery in Blountsville.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jamon Brown, Chris Allred, Weston Brown, Abin Bullard, Landon Bullard, Zack West, Brandon Moore, and Jimmy Dunn.

Michael’s life was rooted in faith, family, and the simple things he loved most. His love, faith, and kindness will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and tenderly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
