Mr. Marvin Chadwick Herring, age 82 of Snead, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Herring proudly served his country in The United States Army and is a Korean Veteran and a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Snead Baptist Church.

Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Ha Ja Herring, sons; Carl Herring and wife Sherry of Athens, and Danny Herring and wife Clara of California, daughter; Linda Colburn of Blountsville, grandchildren; Cody Herring, Payton Herring, Houston Kirby, Emilee Kirby, Jeremy and Crystal Kelso, and Ronnie and Becky Kelso, brother James Herring and wife Patricia of Section, AL and sister; Betty Mathus of Friday's Crossing.

Brother Justin Waddle will conduct the Funeral Service on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. and Saturday from 8:30 A.M. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Murdock, Billy Wilborn, Cody Herring, Jack Mathus, David Mathus, and Mark Greeson.

Mr. Herring is going home to meet his parents; Hassel Washington and Velma Irene (Parrish) Herring.
