Mr. Marlin Delano King, age 76 of Snead, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. King always wanted everyone to know that, "Jesus loves you."

Marlin is survived by his wife Virginia Wright King of Snead; children Lee Ann & Phillip Gilliland of Susan Moore, Sue Ellen & Charlie Bolding of Guntersville, and Joey King of Hackleburg. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Debter (Adam Gibbs) of Horton, Crystal & Mitch Clowdus of Oneonta, John Ross & Rebecca Debter of Horton, Tyler & Kristen Gilliland of Horton, Mattie Grace King of Hackleburg, Kowen King of Hackleburg, and Karli Jolynn King of Hackleburg; great grandchildren Tanner Clowdus, Reece Clowdus, Eli Clowdus, John Tyler Gilliland, Kanin Ross Debter, Owen Cornelius, Emma Cornelius, Camille Gibbs and Giselle Gibbs; brother Adrian & Annette King of Texas, Louise & Bill Turner of Centre, and Bobbie & Larry Battles of Oneonta.

Mr. King is preceded in death by his parents Joe & Beulah Roberson King and sister Conola Woods.

Tyler Gilliland, Curtis Hawkins, and Bric Latham will conduct the funeral service on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 @ 2pm at Grace Baptist Church with Snead Funeral Home Directing. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Mr. King will lie in state at Grace Baptist Church on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday from 12(noon) until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Steve Battles, Carl Battles, Tim Battles, Randy Bynum, Kevin Turner, Dean Shelton, Robert Wright, and Mark Foster.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Beaver Tinsley, Ray Hawkins, Brock Ellis, Andra King, Darwin Cardwell, and Dennis Little.
