Mrs. Marie T. Barton, age 84 of Altoona passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Oak Landing Assisted Living in Attalla.

She is survived by her sons – Randy Barton and David Barton; grandson – Jeremy Barton (Nikki Pruitt); sister –Diana Gilliland (Keith); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mrs. Barton is preceded in death by her husband – James Glendon Barton; daughter-in-law – Kasia Barton; parents – Grady Ondell and Bula Faye (Ingram) Tidwell; and siblings – Diane Tidwell and Clyde Tidwell.

Brother Max Barton and Brother Bruce Barton will conduct the Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Old Snead. Mrs. Barton will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 12:00 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be - Jeremy Barton, Joe Baker, Mark Rittenhouse, Chuck Manley, Scott Mayfield, and Bart McCurley.

The Family requests In Lieu of Flowers donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association in Mrs. Barton's Memory.
