Mrs. Leona Faye Thompson passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the age 50. She was at home surrounded by her loving family in the Mt. Hebron Community of Boaz.

Leona was known to all the kids as "Bebe". She was a founding member of The Lighthouse of Praise & Hope Church located in Altoona. She and her husband are Associate Pastors.

Leona is survived by her husband Jimmy L. Thompson of the Mt. Hebron Community; her son and daughter-in-law Eric & Whitney Thompson of the Mt. Hebron Community; her grandchildren Baylee Thompson and Braylan Thompson both of the Mt. Hebron Community; her mother Ruby Green of the Mt. Hebron Community of Boaz; her brothers and sisters-in-law DeWayne & Mary Ann Green of Snead and Tim & Laura Green of the Mt. Hebron Community of Boaz; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her father James H. Green.

Brother LeRoy Windsor and Brother Tim Green will conduct the funeral service at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Monday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday from 8:30am until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Shon Baker, Travis Dobbs, Tommy Lee, Grant Alldredge, Brandon Williams, Hunter McClung, and Dustin Baker.
