Obituary
Mr. Lawrence Jyles Morton, age 90 of Snead, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Floyd E. Tut Fann Veterans Home in Huntsville.
Mr. Morton is survived by his daughter: Janice Campbell of Snead, daughter: Sandra Webb (Jerry) of Snead, son: Don Morton of Snead, daughter: Cathy Long (J.J.) of Snead and son: John Morton (Stacey) of Rosa, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and sister: Sue Owen of Oneonta.
Brother Glenn Stewart will conduct the funeral service, at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home, Friday, February 20, 2015 at 2 P.M. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Morton will Lie In State at Snead Funeral Home on Friday from 12(Noon) until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be Mark Long, Colby Morton, Broc Morton, Logan Davis, Colton Jacobs, and Dustin Jacobs.
Mr. Morton is preceded in death by his first wife: Joyce Morton Gilbreath and his second wife: Carolyn Currier Morton, his parents: John Bascom and Barcie (Plunkit) Morton, his siblings: Lesley Morton, Adron Morton, Johnny Morton, Lee Morton, Louie Morton, Dorman Morton, Wilma Taylor, and Ruby Lazenby.
