Mr. Lawrence William Dendy, age 71 of Douglas, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Shephard's Cove Hospice.

Mr. Dendy is survived by his wife Bernadette "Bernie" Dendy, sons; Terry Dendy and wife Loretta of Albertville, Mike Dendy of Douglas, Scott Dendy and wife Tammy of Arab, grandchildren; Blake Dendy, Brittany Dendy, Chance Dendy, and Kaitlyn Dendy, Great-grandchild; Avery Dendy, siblings; Jeanette Perryman and husband Jack of Diamond Bar, California, Gerald "Lamon" Dendy of Mt. Hebron, and Shirley Jourdan of Gainsville, Florida, and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Elder Kenneth Watts and Elder Mitchell Phillips will conduct the funeral service Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2 P.M. from New Hope Primitive Baptist Church, with Snead Funeral Home Directing, interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Saturday at the church from 1:30 until funeral time.

Mr. Dendy is going home to meet his parents; Ruby Dendy and Golden Dendy and his mother; Corine Dendy.

Pallbearers will be Brian J. Butler, Houston Cookston, Jimmy Frank Hill, Larry Hill, Tony Hill and Harold Henry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Perryman, Gerry Bordon, James Henry, John Hill, and Gary Henry.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P O Box 1681, Albertville, AL 35950, Attn: James Atchley.
