Mrs. Laura Jean (Ashworth) Holmes, age 89 of Snead, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Diversicare in Oneonta.

She is survived by her son – James 'Jimmy' Michael Poole; grandsons – Jared Poole and Rashad Poole (Melissa); and sister – Joyce Noles (Wayne).

Mrs. Holmes is preceded in death by her husband – Glenn Homes; parents – Willie Eucle and Ollie Belle (Elrod) Ashworth; and brothers – J.C. Ashworth, Royce Ashworth, and Larry Ashworth.

Brother Curtis Hawkins will conduct the Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Gibbs Chapel Cemetery.  Mrs. Holmes will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 10:30 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Terry Harvey, William Smith, Steven Brindley, Bobby Bannister, Ken Stevenson, and Mike Daniels.
