Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Malone Holland, age 83 from Horton, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Albertville, Alabama on October 18, 1929. He was 83 years old and died at home peacefully of natural causes. He was a graduate of Susan Moore High School and Auburn University in 1951. He served in The Unites States Army in Germany from 1954-1956. He was a representative in Washington for the 89th Congress for Congressman Jim Martin of Alabama. He was employed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and retired after 20 combined years of service for the government. While we morn the loss of a good man and a great historian, we celebrate his remarkable life.

Mr. Holland leaves behind a brother; Dr. John B., Sr. and Nancy Holland of New Orleans, LA, nephews; Dr. Michael R. and Wendy Holland of Crowely, LA and Dr. John B., Jr. and Allyson Holland, Jr. of Dallas, TX, and a host of Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

Brother Ricky Harcrow will conduct the Funeral Service on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home with Interment in Zion Hill Cemetery. Mr. Holland will Lie-In-State at, Snead Funeral Home, Saturday from 1 P.M. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Holland, Dr. John Holland, Ralph Ballew, Mike Wright, Spright Holland, and Hunter Holland.

Mr. Holland is going home to meet his parents; Walter Daniel and Margaret Ann (Malone) Holland.
