Mrs. Karon L. Spradlin, age 74 of Snead, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham.

She was a member of The Jehovah Witness and worked for Tyson for 12 years. She enjoyed sewing and taking care of her family.

She is survived by her children:

Mark Spradlin of Snead,

Eugene Spradlin (Tina) of Snead,

Carnell Spradlin (B.J.) of Snead,

Mona Young (Terry) of Pennsylvania,

Grandchildren: Drew Spradlin of New York, Jason Spradlin of Snead, and Sherry Young of Minnesota,

Great-grandchildren: Tristan Wright of Gadsden, Duncan Weaver of Gadsden, Machalin Weaver, and Kaylyan Weaver.

Sister: Carol Paschal (Clyde) of Albertville.

Gary Hadder will conduct the funeral service at 5 P.M. Saturday, May 10, 2014 in The Chapel of Snead Funeral Home with interment in Wynnville Cemetery. Mrs. Spradlin will Lie In State, at Snead Funeral Home, Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 3 P.M. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be: Tristan Wright, Duncan Weaver, Shane Gaither, Joe Laird, Drew Spradlin, and Jason Spradlin.

Mrs. Spradlin is preceded in death by her husband: Carnell Spradlin, her parents: C.P and Grace Laird, her sister Mona Spradlin and her brother: Marvin Laird.
