J.W. Campbell

J.W. Campbell, a devoted son, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on March 1, 2026, in Snead, Alabama. Born on April 10, 1941, J.W. lived a life filled with love for his family and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

He is survived by his son, Teddy Campbell, his son, Scott Campbell, his grandson, Drew Campbell, and his granddaughter, Emily Campbell. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his brother, Roger Campbell, and sister-in-law, Louise Campbell, along with a host of nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him.

J.W. was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Campbell, as well as his parents, Jess and Willie Campbell. His legacy is also honored by the memory of his brothers, James, LaGrande, and George Campbell.

Throughout his life, J.W. took great pleasure in the simple yet rewarding activities that bring joy to many. He loved being outdoors, tending to his garden, and maintaining his yard, which reflected his passion for nature and hard work.

Visitation will take place at Snead Funeral Home on March 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on March 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. The funeral service is scheduled to follow on March 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM, concluding with a burial service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Horton, Alabama, at 12:00 PM.

As the family gathers to celebrate the life of J.W. Campbell, they invite all who knew him to join in remembrance and reflection on the joy he brought to their lives.
