Mrs. Julia Mae Gibbs Shelton, 83 of McClarty, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years – M.L. Shelton; daughters – Susan Campbell (David), Lori Fleming (Rick), Rhonda Reeves, and Lesa Hunter (Glenn); granddaughter – Misty Howell (Keith); grandsons – Matthew Fleming, and Jimmy Campbell (Vanessa); great grandchildren – Haleigh Howell, Hannah Howell, and Jacob Howell; sister – Etrulia Gibbs Sharbutt; adopted daughter – Joan Foster; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Mrs. Shelton is preceded in death by her great granddaughter – Juliann Grace Howell; son-in-law – Johnie Reeves; parents – Doc and Elva Gibbs; brother – Delmas Gibbs; brother-in-law – Doug Sharbutt; and adopted sister – Louise Dabbs.

Brother Mark Jones, Brother James Earl Pate, and Brother Charles Brown will conduct the Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Mrs. Shelton will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday, from 9:00 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – David Collier, Daniel Collier, Frank Lang, Dean Shelton, Dale Shelton, Roger Peppers, and Jeffery Shelton.
