Judith "Judy" Ann Norrick Waldrop, age 79, passed away at home after a long-term illness on March 2, 2023.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Veachel and Pilar Norrick, and newborn son.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband, James Larry Waldrop and daughters, Annette Doss (Fiance, Don Camp) and Wendy Thomas (Jonathan), sons Terry Alvarado (Zenny) and Steven Waldrop (Jessica).

She is also survived by brothers, Gene Norrick (Alicia) and Don Norrick (Charlotte) and sister, Sylvia Almaraz (Lupe).  Grandchildren, Skyler Jones (Casey), Allisa Tyler (Logan), Trinity Doss, Macey Thomas, Haley Thomas, Lauren Doss, Jaxon Waldrop, Lisa Andrews (Larry), Chris Alvarado and great-grandson Obadiah Jones.

Judy was born on July 19, 1943.  She was a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church.  Judy was the epitome of a caregiver with a big heart and extreme patience for all those she loved and cared for.  She retired as a home daycare provider in 2000 and cared for host of children that she loved as her own.  She lovingly cared for all her grandchildren after retiring.  Judy spent the last twenty years devoted to caring for her husband after a life-altering health condition.

Judy will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.  Her grandson, Skyler Jones, will conduct the service with burial at Wynnville Cemetery.  The family will welcome flowers, but a donation can be made in lieu of flowers to the "Blessings in a Backpack" ministry of Cleveland First Baptist Church (P.O. Box 146; Cleveland, AL 35049) in memory of Judy to honor her love for children.
